    I Phone

I got one of these little beauties earlier this month.

They are a terrific item, more a mini computer that allows you to ring & text.

For those who want to add their own ring tones, go to www.iringer.net download the free program & you can have up to 30 seconds of your favourite songs for specific individuals.

If you want the Bulldogs theme song & don't have it, PM me with your email address & I'll send it to you.

What are some of the applications you really like, or just couldn't live without?

TCD, did you go for the 8gb, 16 or 32 option?
What sort of plan did you take?

        I got the 16gb.

Went through JB HIFI, so the handset cost $249 (payable on the first bill in a months time).

I went on the $40 a month plan & bought the $10 per month megabyte pack (but had used it all after a week & a bit, so upgraded to the $29 per month pack); put simply $69 per month, which includes $35 worth of free texts/calls & 50 free texts.

After the first week I realised I could turn on WI FI & use my home computers downloads, rather than the phone's. In other words, when I browse the net at home it doesn't come from my phone's download limit, but if I'm out somewhere it does.

I 'jailbroke' mine which means free non apple apps, etc. Only problem is apple have made changes to the latest models which mean if I turn off the phone or run out of batteries if have to reconnect and run blackrain again( jailbreak prog), Just a slight pain. Awaiting a blackrain fix.

I couldnt live without watching FDOTM swear at his I Phone whenever he trys to access the 'net on it.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Got the older version myself the 3G.

I recommend these apps for footy/cricket season

I use Aussie Rules Live for the for the footy season..live scores, results, ladder, everything u need and currently Free! (Will be about $2-5 when the season starts)

And for the cricket, 'Cricket Live' which is about $2.50 and u get live scores, scorecards, wagon wheel

I've had an iphone for a few months now but have only just started getting some good use out of it. The aps I use most are 'quick usage' which tells me how much of my cap I've used and on what, which comes in handy and the games that I play to waste time are frenzic, ramp champ and bounce on.

Alexxx thanks for posting about the AFL ap, I was going to buy it during the finals but figured I could wait until next year, I'm glad I did now.

Got a digital ''Pocket Radio'' recently. Quality sound but poor reception. The I phone is next on the agenda. Have an I Pod nano 8gb which has been high quality [Purchased 3 years ago] Had the I Pod mini which was bloody awful kept cutting out complete waste of money

I use this site for ringtones:

And this to convert my video files on my pc:
Download and Convert YT videos with Free YouTube Download and Free YouTube to MP3 Converter in any format. Easy to use apps for PC and Mac.

Very handy for those commuters on the train. It will help you pass the time even if the train is not delayed.

It is a very handy phone I have been happy with it but you do have to watch the down loads thats where it gets you.
