They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

      Re: I Phone

Had the s4 delivered to work for me last week. At present I have three phones, though the Blackberry is going to its grave (I'm not likely to miss having to use buttons).

Looking forward to seeing how it compares with the 5s, which I went for due to my fat fingers and ability to share accessories etc. with my partner.

AZ, it's going well actually. About two weeks in and I've not erred from my plan to put the work phone away each night at 7pm (only check it once - reply to critical issues if they need to be replied to) and leave it in the study over the weekends, at home when out or in the car etc.

I already notice the difference in my ability to switch off from work.

I've had nothing than a tradies like phone as I seem to drop it all the time and liked being 'unplugged' from emails and knowing what was in my inbox. I've had the 5c for a couple of months, I like accessing woof sitting at the doctors, but I'm finding it hard to not look at my email, and when I do it can be a real downer that could've waited until I got round to it.

I've got the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which considering I've had it for 16 months now, is pretty amazing given it seems no more dated than my wife's new Galaxy S4. At first I was concerned about its size, but to be honest I could go bigger again. Having a phablet (such a shit name makes my tablet pretty much redundant for everything other than watching tv/movies in bed. I'll be upgrading to the Note 4 when it comes out and my contract expires.

I've had iPhones in the past, but as see as you break yourself away from the prison that is Apple you'll never go back. People get a bit of a surprise how much you can do with a smart phone once you rid yourself of the communist style restrictions Apple impose.

I've had both and they can't even be compared.

They are both good pieces of technology. Yes Apple is more 'restrictive', but that's the only thing Android people can come up with. What is restrictive? That we can't move apps in a specific way? Or make a ringtone easily? LOL. Most people like Apple because of its great UI and ease of use.

And the after sale service is much much better then Samsung.

This is what I find bizarre, Apple users so often fiercely defend Apple, and belittle the advantages of other offerings. Yet more often than not they haven't tried anything else. It's like Essendon and their supporters, almost cullt like.

I have a NAS (network attached storage) at home that I use to store and access everything i have at home and via the internet- it has movies, tv shows, photos, documents, you name it. It works perfectly from any windows pc or phone, and any android device. I can stream from it, or download onto another device from any location, except for Apple. Why? Because there's no money in it for Apple, so my wife's iPad is pretty much useless in our house other than for browsing the internet.

I quite liked my iPhones when I had them, and I just accepted the frustrating limitation as life, but it's not true. The reason I actually changed was the outrageously bad post-sale customer service I received from a design "fault" in the 3gs

I have the same set up and that is why I run Windows for PC and not Mac. You should buy yourself an Apple TV ($110) and then you can use your IPAD to stream on to your TV. I like using both technologies, and also have an Android media player .

My NAS streams directly to my smart TV via the internet with no need to purchase any intermediary products. The system is open and unrestricted. I can also steam to any internet connected device that's not closed by Apple. That's why the iPad is redundant.

But can you access USA or UK content? example - ITUNES USA already has most of the movies featured in the Oscars, whereas they are still at the cinema here.

I can access anything that I put on my NAS, which is anything that's available on the internet. I have 6TB on it at the moment, but there's no limit to its expansion capabilities.

I could jail break the iPad and use it that way, but it's easier just to leave it in a cupboard.

That is good for you, but how many people have a NAS or even know what it is?

I mean people go out and buy Smart TV's and complain how restrictive, slow, useless that is. I bought a Non-smart TV, used the extra cash to buy a decent PC that I connected to the non-smart TV. Now compared to a Smart TV, my TV is Ultra Smart lol

I would never buy a smart TV. The premium paid for the so called smart TV can be achieved with a good Media player for around $150 with plenty of change left.
