    Breaking Bad - TV Series

Not sure if many have caught this show yet, but it's one of the best ever IMO.

Not on FTA, but I believe the current series is being shown on Foxtel. For any who were fans of The Wire, The Sopranos, those sort of shows, you will enjoy this one too.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Bought season 1 & 2 on DVD. Awesome show. Unfortunately I missed the start of Series 3 on Foxtel, so I'll now have to wait til it comes out on DVD.

Need to get Series 2. Enjoyed Series one - but only 7 ep's meant I flew through it.
Like that the OP mentioned The Wire...which, for mine is only behind the West Wing as the best show ever.

Any show where Charlie Sheen's Dad is the President of the USA needs a down grade in hindsight.

The Wire is so consistently brilliant across 5 seasons it is beyond compare.
          Agree Breaking Bad is brilliant.
Also throw Dexter into the mix, with the exception of Series 3 which was a little disappointing after an awesome Series 2.

            Breaking Bad - sensational.

Season 3 is just brilliant, watching it week by week and enjoying every minute of it, the directing is amazing.

And not surprising, came from the same genius, David Simon.

Looking forward to getting a look at his new show "Treme" which stars Bunk & Freamon in fairly different roles I believe.

I love this series but it hasn't aged particularly well. Still great writing. I think the Wire is a better series though.

Re: Breaking Bad - TV Series

Breaking Bad is very good - the wifey downloads about 100GB/ month of TV shows so we have an excellent collection - you name we have it!

Also have been watching 'Community' & 'Modern Family' - both are good shows.

Watched about 10 episodes straight of Modern Family a couple of rainy Sunday's back, I love Phil - what a dork!! His commentary is hilarious, personal favourite when talking about being up to date with internet lingo/ shorthand - LOL = Laugh out loud, OMG = Oh my god, WTF = Why the face? - Haha.

Looking forward to Entourage returning at the end of the month - my personal favourite.

I am a fan of 'The Wire' but have to admit - it did all get a bit much at times. Breaking Bad is a very good show...the only other one I am watching at the moment is 'Sons of Anarchy' (series 2 finished last night) which is great for sheer entertainment value.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I've been watching it on FTA and have had a chuckle. Ed O'Neill is good as the cranky sugar daddy.

                          Can't get into modern family.

I feel as though the main guy Phil's character is based too much on David Brent from the office.
There is only one David Brent.
More of an In Bruges guy?

                            Can't watch Breaking Bad.

There's just no way Tim Whatley or Hal Wilkerson can be that guy.

Seriously though, I tried to watch Breaking Bad, but it just didn't grab me. I couldn't get past the fact that there was no point for him where he simply said "this has gone far enough" and owned up to his family.

I don't mind Modern Family. It's 30 minutes of passable comedy with about three or burst out laughing moments. I'm willing to persist with it a bit longer.

Yep, agree Mantis..Community & Modern Family are the best comedies going round right now..
