Did anyone watch ABC's Angry Boys last week? Awesome show, Chris Lilley is an absolute comic genius.

For those that didn't see it, there's an encore viewing on ABC2 at 10.30pm this evening. The series is on every Wednesday night at 9.00pm.

I watch it on iView as I missed the first screening, although a little funny in parts I thought it was so,so. I must say he cuts a fine line with todays political correctness.

Yes, it copped a bit of flak in the press last week re 'the political correctness' aspect side of things. I was in stiches with some of the lines he hurled out.

'My name is Daniel and I drive a manual' ha!

Hopefully he introduces quite a few more characters and keeps it ticking over...what did you think of his portrayal of the charachter Gran...gotcha!

The new characters each week will keep it fresh, I hope.

I think there were definitely funny moments, but it seems that we need to be prepared for a lot more serious storylines as it progresses.

Lilley is a genius though. The way he gets into character is amazing (particularly with the twins, where he is basically acting against nothing).

I watched We Can Be Heroes the first time it was out- mid 2006 I think? Loved it. The twins were my favourite along with Pat Mullins.

Angry Boys, I didn't find anywhere near as good at all. Plus, this time around it's so much more mainstream, with a group on Facebook about every single flipping quote on the show. I hardly laughed during it, which was dissappoinnting.

I thought his capturing of how bored kids can be in small country towns was just so spot on. The four different types of "main-eys", gold !

Loved the pilot. Big fan of his work, the 'Gran' character in the detention centre was pretty full on viewing but I cacked myself numerous times, big fans of the twins aswell. (Must go back and watch We Can Be Heroes too Sophie)

Looking forward to his "Asian mother" character and I hope S.Mouse is entertaining but got a feeling its just gunna be annoying for some reason.

I liked we can be heroes and had heard a lot about Angry Boys. This is the worst humor I have witnessed in a long time!
Perhaps this week was a one off bad show. S Mouse was not funny at all. Perhaps being politically incorrect makes it funny than it actually is to some.
Won't watch this again that's for sure.
