I'll definitely go, but mainly only for Kanye West and Kasabian. The Getaway Plan might be okay too. I'd rather Kanye do a side show, but I haven't seen him live yet so I'll fork it out.

Keen to see Kanye, Soundgarden, Battles and Mariachi el bronx, but think I may hold out and see if soundwave throws up something better.

Agree. Very dissapointed to hear the headliners, will not be getting my overpriced $160 odd this year.

Reports are TBDO is as good as dead.

Shame. 2000 was the stand out year for me, having missed the early years, it was a hot stinking day, 130,000 at the show grounds, NIN, Chillis, Blink 182, Foo Fighters and heaps more (trying to get into a shed with Killing Heidi was dangerous). I never thought the festival would die, easy format, big names and from memory they started out the first few years with Nirvana, The Remones, Iggy Pop and every awesome act since then. Obviously lack of money or competence (or both) have killed it.

It's probably been the biggest sufferer from the increased quanitity of festivals. It's diluted the pool of bands, which means it's reduced the quality needed to justify the ticket price and to overcome it's reputation of being a bogans paradise.

Nailed it. I've been the last few years and it's a really great day till about 3.30-4.00 when all the "bros" rock up for the headliners. It's also become more or less of a triple j festival in recent times which means a lot of quality local bands just don't get a look in.
