    Spicks and Specks on ABC

Has to be one of my favourite shows on TV.

Adam Hills is my favourite Australian entertainer, when Karl Stefanovic won the Gold Logie this year he praised Hills, saying that he'd have won 6 gold logies if he didn't work for the ABC.

Alan Brough is sharp as a tack and his laugh is infectious. Myf Warhurst is just adorable and great to watch, can get ridiculously starstruck sometimes.

Some of the stories Adam manages to extract from guests are pricelessm and when someone like Hamish Blake or Dave O'Neill make a semi-regular appearance you know you're in for a chuckle.

    Anyone else a fan?

Its old fashioned entertainment and I love it, this rubbish reality stuff on other channels has really taken away true entertainment.
    ABC is the best.

I'm a fan but prefer SBS's Rockquiz. Myf was better b4 she sold out to mainstream. I think she still going out with the drummer from The Drones (Mike Noga). Alan Brough is a lot slimmer off tv.

I bought the spicks n specks iPhone app for fun. It's ok.

It's a good show. I used to think Brough was a pretentious plonker, but I've really warmed to him.

Can't agree on Hamish Blake. His constant need to talk over people and try and make a "funny" comment every time sh1ts me. Each to their own of course.

Quite enjoy it, watch it regularly, but sometimes i find the humour (particularly Hills) a bit forced. I've seen Adam Hills hosting a Music Industry Quiz night twice in the last two years, he's actually a lot funnier when he ad-libs (and goes a bit blue!)

We have tix to the Spicksnspecks live show next month which hopefully will be worth the expensive cost.

As above, i find Rockwiz a much better/balsier show. Saw them live last year and it was brilliant. And i dunno what it is about Julia Z, but hell yes i would.

I like "Spicks", but not because of the host, in spite of him. Dunno what it is, I just find him really irritating. Ditto for Alan Brough, who, whilst very quick and knowledgeable, comes across as a smart arse. Myf is funny (perhaps not quite so intelligent )... Rockwiz is good too, I like the live band aspect.

              Love Spicks and Specks.
Adam Hill is a great host and having been to a couple of his shows is brilliant.
Myf is a great and I also love she gets starstruck.
Brough I agree, strikes me as a prize pounce and know all, but his knowledge is second to none.
Seem to get a great ballance of guests most times, don'et quite enjoy the show when they have opera guest etc.
              Rockwiz is also great show.

Do enjoy Rockwiz but prefer S&S. Agree 100% on Julia.

Along the same lines, had this argument with a mate about S&S regular Felicity Ward. Would you or wouldn't you?

Depends on who it is. Antionette Halloran has some good stories and doesn't seem up herself.

When Anthony Warlow went on he was doing Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford) impressions. Absolutely hilarious.

Hamish can have his moments but I thoroughly enjoy what he does.

I thought I'd put up this video from the Comedy Special they did earlier in the year. The discussion revolves around Youtube's Rebecca Black and her song 'Friday'. One of the shows funniest segments.

I really enjoy Spicks & Specks. One of the shows we watch each week. I love the variety of guests they have on and some of the 'gems' they find - Barry Morgan from Barry Morgans World of Organs comes to mind!!

Some of the recurring comedians are great - I love Denise Scott & Meshel Laurie, Tommy Dean is funny too.

Myf was funny last night - she was stumbling over her words & a bit star struck with Patrizio Buanne sitting next to her. And when Tim Finn was on the show - can't say I blame her there.

                          Yes.

Is it true that Adam Hills has a prosthetic foot?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yes it is, he often mentions it in his shows. He was born without his right foot.

I watch it, but am getting a bit tired of Myf and Alan answering 95% of the questions each week. It's a bit like a trivia night for those two and I wonder if any of the questions are set up.

Still, it's a good show with a few laughs. Adam comes out with some (at times very dirty) pearlers at times.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
