    Best holiday destinations

Myself so far New York City would be right up there. It is such a vibrant city and there is so much to do there.

New Zealand has been my favorite destination. I'd move there is they had AFL football. Such a beautiful country.

I went on my honeymoon to Cairns and really enjoyed it there alos.

Haven't been back there in a while but the Gold Coast in January is nice for a holiday right after the new year.

Have just come back from Fraser Island.

          Beautiful part of the world.

Could live there - but not close enough to my doggies.

Went to Europe last year & to my surprise my favourite city was Krakow Poland. Recommend anyone heading to Europe to visit Krakow for a few days, you won't be disappointed.

When I was 7 I did a campervan tour of southern Europe with my family. And on that trip I found out that Switzerland has rightful claims to the title of most beautiful country on Earth.

I went to Krakow in 2007 to meet up with a Jewish mate of mine who I played footy with. He had been in the UK for a year or so but wanted to go and check out the place on the basis of history, but more pointedly because the women were told to be loving of Australian men!

Anyway, when I got there on a Thursday and telling him I'd be there for a few days he said watch out for the UK bucks and hens do's that roll through the place over the weekend due to the bar situation and the currency conversion. He wasn't wrong. Come Friday night the British were everywhere!

Having said that, out of my seven weeks of back packing through Europe I don't think I've been as shattered, grounded, astounded, shocked or dumbfounded as I was when I took the bus to Auschwitz and Birkenau. Another word or two I'd use would be humbled and sad. Life changing stuff. We have a very distorted view of WW2 in this country, and there's nothing like seeing a large scale human death line to bring that home.

Aside from all of that though, the people were very friendly and it is an extremely liberal and beautiful place to travel to.

Within Australia I just love holidaying in Tasmania.

Overseas it'd have to be Las Vegas.

The first time we went to the United States in 2004 we went to Chicago which is also another great city but the weather was freezing cold so that limited us in what we could do and then San Francisco and went also on a day trip to the Yosemite National Park.

Yosemite was great, unfotunatly I was there on Memorial weekend with the crowds.
Did mange to see a bear in the wild though.
Grand Canyon is brilliant and found it awe inspiring.
