First ever concert was seeing KISS out at VFL Park all those years back, for that matter first ever vinyl purchased all those years ago was KISS Alive 1. Unless you lived through the mid to late 70s / early 80s is hard to describe just how larger than life they became across a wide audience. Gene and Paul were ahead of their time who lead a marketing juggernaut, no doubt still do.

DG, what is their new album like, how would you compare to Sonic Boom?
To be honest dude I like it a lot. It's a lot rawer and in your face and has a lot of elements of the bands they grew up with...led zep, humble pie, Rolling Stones etc.
Paul sounds better than SB, although still a little strained in parts. I also think that the Tommy and Eric tracks are stronger on monster. Just got back from the kiss Kruise and they played 5 songs from the new cd and they all got a great response....can't wait to see them again in march. You going?
Very happy to have gotten 'Destroyer Zone' standing room tickets in the presale. Have seen KISS four times but am really looking forward to ticking Motley Crue off my 'Bands I Must See' list.
