Following on from the autographs thread who are some well known people you have met personally. They can be from sport, music, entertainment or anyone outside the 3 categories I've mentioned.

I went to the 2006 world cup and in Stuttgart i think it was we showed up to our hotel wearing all of our green and gold aussie supporters gear.
When we got there the concierge said "sir..will you be checking in or have you just come to see the team?" and both my father and me looked a bit startled and weren't really sure what the guy was referring to.
After a brief chat, we found out that we had actually booked the same hotel as the Australian national team and they would be arriving in there later that day around 5pm. so we went and saw all of the city and came back later to see the socceroos team bus pull up. All of the players walked through the foyer and we managed to have a quick chat to Emerton, Viduka, Schwarzer and a few others. after that excitement had gone we went out the back to a pub and the players then got "family time" for about 2 hours. (Apparently all the kids and wives stayed in different hotels). So whilst we were sitting out the back, Tim Cahill came and sat at the table next to us with Bresciano and their children. Lucas Neill was hanging around in the foyer with a woman and Harry Kewell was also enjoying some time at the pub (only drinking water).
I think for as long as I live I will never ever forget those few hours. -

Billy Bowden - An odd man with crazy eyes.

Nathan Sharpe-super nice guy.
Jonathan Brown- was happy to chat about footy with me and my boss for about 20 mins.
Liesel Jones-Always thought she was stuck up, but in person comes across very friendly.
Had Chopper Reed become a member of my insitution the other day.
Have also met other famous people through various jobs working in retail in The Valley in Brisbane, only disappointment was Ed Cowan who came across abit holier than thou.Comment

Met Chopper in the Ducks Nuts bar in Darwin.
Met Tracey Ullman in Broome. Top lass!
Met Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue working their respective concerts.
Had a run-in (long story) with a former Governor-General of Australia, Peter Hollingworth.
Had lunch with Malcolm Douglas at his croc farm, nicest man ever.
My mum's ex-boyfriend was once a friend of Peter Brock, met him heaps of times.
Had dinner with Anh Do, who's very funny.Comment

When we were on Holidays in Brisbane about 10 years ago at our hotel I didn't actually meet but saw James Hird who is quite a tall guy, was in the lift with Glen McGrath and saw the Australian Cricket team as they were playing up there against Sri Lanka.Last edited by Eastdog; 02-12-2012, 02:57 AM."Footscray people are incredible people; so humble. Brian Adams - met him when he was touring Taiwan. He was going out with a friends sister so we went up to his hotel room and caught up with him.FFC: Established 1883
