Your album of the year 2012.

Mines easily Cloud Nothings 'Attack on memory'.

Brilliant indie rock from the Cleveland band. Had this album sitting in my car CD player for months and just can't get sick of it.

Apparently killer live, but unfortunately the stars have aligned for me to catch them yet.

Graveyard Train - Hollow for mine. Favourite track by a mile is I'm Gone.

Really liked Coexist by the XX as well (I also only discovered their debut album this year).
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

Is this question like trying to say who is your favourite kid is ? (not that I have kids)

Im staying local for my pick - Deep Heat by Oh Mercy.

Really liked the first XX album a lot, Coexist didn't do it for me as much but still enjoyed it.

I knew nothing of XX until I saw them live (closing a festival in Poland). They were fantatstic, atmospheric and it really worked.

Haven't got the Graveyard Train album yet - almost embarassing really. I'll have to rectify it shortly (and buy the Mark of Cain album too). Call me a luddite, but I don't download Australian bands and still buy the CD.

A late runner for me - My Left Boot, Summer Songs. Less stoner, more Led Zep than their EPs.

I only purchased The Drink, The Devil and the Dance at the weekend, so I'm yet to give it a spin. I've been discovering their music in reverse chronological order! And you're no luddite (at least as far as I'm concerned), both my purchases have been CDs. At least I (and whoever I bequeath my collection to in the distant future) own the CD then, unlike iTunes rights...

I prefer The Drinnk, The Devil and the Dance myself.

Personally nothing beats the feel and touch of the actual vinyl or cd and seeing the effort put into the cover art or booklet. Bands are really going that extra mile thesedays with stuff like that.

Japandroids - Celebration Rock, Todd Snider - Agnostic Hymns and Stoner Fables or Propagandhi's blazing return to form, Failed States have been my favourites at various times this year. Eagerly awaiting the new Pissed Jeans album in Feb.
