Soundwave 2013

Got some great news off my son regarding Soundwave this year, he got a call from triple j, his band Party Vibez will be the opening act on the main stage starting at 11am, so if anyone is going take a look, you cant miss him he is the bass player with a beard that only parents could love!
I'm Not sure who is more stoked him

They play thrash, they were played on triple j last night, if you want go to YouTube and type in legends of gnarlia by party vibez, they are also playing at the central club in Richmond on the 3nd of march then in Geelong at 66 Ryrie street on the 15th of march.

They sound pretty good. If I get there early enough I'll watch them. Pretty big honour for them then getting to open the festival.

Not sure about nervous but stoked, extremely, the lead singer was on the radio last tuesday, they asked him what his response was when he found out they were playing sound wave his reaction was "what the hell is the bass player ringing me for at this time in the morning"
I have listened to them a bit and they are quite tight and good actually , a little different which is a plus.
I have dates here of their march itinery if anyone's interested

March 1- Soundwave, Flemington Racecourse 11am
March 2- Central Club, Richmond 8:20pm
March 15- Titanium Live, Geelong Doors at 7:30
March 23- The Reverence, Footscray. Doors at 8 (Queensland flood relief show)
March 29- The Bendigo Hotel, Collingwood. Doors 6:30.

Yep! Saw them Tuesday night with Orang Goblin and Kyuss Lives (main reason i went).

I drove past teh showgrounds/Flemington at 8.30 this morning and kids were lining up there already.


What the hells wrong with kids today? When I was their age I would have still been at home tucked up in bed at 8.30 in the morning.
