Watched it last night .
There are some characters from the old Prisoner in it.
For old Prisoner watches the new Frankie Doyle is a major upgrade on the old one.
Having a riot in the first episode was a bit over the top for mine.
Thought it was good, but probably not worth the hype it got to be honest.
Just a nice change from the constant barrage of reality tripe we get dished up with now.

I watch the old one and am hypnotised by the bad acting and how the prisoners walked around with cigarettes and lighters , it was like a hotel not a prison

Yeah there was some awful acting, no doubt.
Mind you there were a few acclaimed actors in the show as well.
Shiela Florence ( Lizzy) was an acclaimed theatre actress.
Maggie Kirkpatrick ( the freak) was also an acclaimed actress.
The bit part and extras were dreadful.

Saw it too Remi. Like yourself thought it would be better although wasn't bad. The other half liked it so no doubt I'll be watching again. I gave up all my "tele rights"during the week for the right to watch as many AFL games that I want on the weekend.
