Bill Murray for mine. He was a funny, funny man.

Caddyshack, Rushmore and Stripes were all laugh out loud movies.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The Steve Martin films from the eighties are superb. The man with two brains and the jerk are among the funniest films of any era.

John Candy should be in there as well, was huge in the 80s (pun intended).

Yeah, I should probably have squeezed he and John Candy in. But alas.

As you can tell from my footer, I love Bill Murray. Carl in Caddyshack has got to be one of the funniest characters ever.

I voted Chevy Chase, I'm an unabashed Vacation series fan, also loved the Three amigos and Funny Farm. John Candy in for Billy Crystal by a mile.

Loved most of the comedy movies of this era.

Voted for Chevy as well, The Vacation series are classics, Fletch, Funny Farm and Caddyshack get him over the line for me.
Robin Williams in The World according to Garp and Good Morning Vietnam are two classics.
Looking back on the actors and movies, we were very spoilt.
Would have given John Cleese and Eric Idle the nod over all the above if were included in the poll.
Life of Brian, Hollywood Bowl, Meaning of Life and A Fish Called Wanda all right up there.
It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.

Went Bill Murray but was a flip of a coin between him and Steve Martin

Bill Murray is a god (but not THE god).

                    Caddyshack
                    Ghostbusters
                    Quick Change
                    Stripes
                    Tootsie

His 90s output was even better.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Two things. Firstly, you're a racist

Secondly, Bill Murray just edges out Steve Martin.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Criminally under-rated.

I also think King Pin is underrated too, but not quite in the same lass as Groundhog Day. Bill playing Big Ern in King Pin is hilarious.
