Mad Max has some very corny stunts and story line, but on what was a very limited budget its a good film + some good acting
AN is too long and has some strange twists, but some of the scenes are up ther ewith any movies ever made. Theres a documentary film about the making of AN which is interesting Basically most of the cast and crew were off their chops

Hearts Of Darkness. A play on the name of the book the film is based on.
Apocalypse Now is one of my favourite films of all time. Robert Duvall is hilarious from the helicopters playing Wagner as they fly in formation to the scene on the beach. Heart Of Darkness by Joseph Conrad is one of my favourite works of fiction.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
I've not seen it either. I gather its better than the new one hopefully...
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023

I personally think so. To me, Johnny Depp's characters are all too similar to each other, and Tim Burton's films are too 'dark'. The original is a lot lighter, musical numbers abound, and the Oompa Loompahs are real (not one actor and a whole bunch of CGI like Burton's version) - and played by Germans, if you look closely they do a terrible job lip-synching the songs, as a number of them didn't speak any English. It did differ from the original, and Roald Dahl himself didn't like it, but it's my favourite.

Even though I have had the 39 Steps DVD for about 3 years I have still not seen any Hitchcock (the same above then could be just as easily said about me)
I have never seen a Chaplin movie
Metropolis
Casablanca
Schindlers List
Gone With The Wind
The Grapes of Wrath
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Casablanca is my kids and mine favorite film to watch.
