For those who are too young to know what this great man achieved.

                Re: RIP Nelson Mandela

Its incredible to think he lived to 95 years of age when he spent 20+ years in what must have been horrible conditions in prison.

His civility and humanity in the face of such oppression, injustice and brutality is at a level that we will surely not see again in our lifetime.

In the 40s and 50s the world looked to Gandhi to find its inspiration and courage, in the 60s it was the Rev. Martin Luther King, in the 70s and 80s it was Nelson Mandela. The modern world is sadly lacking in heroes of this type.

Mandela has left an indelible mark not only on South Africa but on the world. May his legacy and what he acheived be never forgotten.

                RIP Nelson Mandela.

What an amazing human being .
To be able to forgive after what he had been through is just incredible.

Aung San Suu Kyi is probably the closest contemporary equivalent.
