Your top 5 Aussie Favourite Bands (of yesteryear)

This thread is more for the little bit older Woofites, growing up the 70s & 80s there were plenty of Aussie bands around. The list below were my favourites – so put your thinking cap on and try and remember which bands you enjoyed listening to and your favourite song from that group.

    1. Split Enz - (I got you)
    2. Inxs - (Don't change)
    3. Dragon - (April Sun in Cuba)
    4. Cold Chisel - (Khe San)
    5. Noiseworks - (Take me back)

    Sunnyboys

The Saints, Ed Keuper and friends

    The Go Bewteens

    Mentals were a hoot live

    Ditto Jimmy and the Boys

Couldn't fit Icehouse, Models, Do Re Mi, early Split Enz, early Hunters and Collectors with those gas cylinders.

Special mention to Joe Camilleri of Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons who spewed on my friends in the front row during a concert, then resumed singing.

      INXS
      Oils
      Chisel
      Sorrows
      Mentals

I always rated live performances better than recorded.

Another one I forgot to mention - Mondo Rock love that song..."Come said the Boy. lets go down to the sand. Lets do what we wanna do, let me be a man for you"...Ross Wilson still about now has a great voice.

How can we forget Moving Pictures...."What about me, it isn't fair...." Saw them once at the Cross Keys Hotel we were standing near those speakers nearly blew my eardrums out - took me a few days to feel normal again.

Never saw them live. Only discovered interesting when music I went to Uni, and IIRC they'd broken up by then.

Did any of you ever go to the Star Bar in South Melb? I remember we used to always go there and see a great covers Band called Route 66. The lead singer had a great voice, the place used to rocking right through the night. - gosh memories!
