This is the exact reason why I think the likes of Murdoch and his ilk are the most disgusting people on this planet.

They feed our own shit to us on a daily basis (because it's relatively cheap for them to do so) and back it with continuous brain washing adverts with the one single goal of making us think we have no other entertainment options.

History will look back at the present TV entertainment era with nothing other than shame.

It depends on who you are and what you can morally, intellectually and fiscally acquire. There's a whole set of people that for various reasons can only access FTA. These are the people Murdoch etc. prey on and unfortunately their choices and opinions pretty much dominate or influence what the rest of us have to put up with.

It sounds snobby, but it is what it is.
