    A Starc Quirk Record

Starc became only the second player (after New Zealand’s Mitchell McClenaghan) to have taken four wickets or more in his first game against six different countries:

    4/27 v Sri Lanka, 2010
    4/47 v Afghanistan, 2012
    5/42 v Pakistan, 2012
    5/20 v West Indies, 2013
    6/28 v New Zealand, 2015
    4/14 v Scotland, 2015

The boy is coming on nicely, best Yorker in this generation.

3 or 4 months ago I thought he was under performing and was just a bit loose for Test cricket. Has to be right in the mix for the WI and Ashes tours.

I love obscure records like this.

      Great effort.

The next generation of left arm quicks looks to be something special. Starc, Boult, Khan and in my mind potentially the best of the lot Mohammad Amir who returned to cricket yesterday

I told you he was a special talent.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Wahab Riaz no slouch either, and they have Mohammad Irfan and Rahat Ali as well

22 wickets at 10, and 3.5 an over... Not a bad WC.

He's been the star as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully the confidence gained from this type of sustained form will also start to transition in his test career

A fully blossomed Hazlewood, Starc, Cummins and Pattinson fast bowling team could be a massively successful test bowling team.

An assessment affirmed by whoever decided the player of the tournament. Deserving winner.

New record for Starc. Youngest ever player to take 100 ODI wickets. Huge effort from Mitch.

Awesome to share a record with the great Mitchell McClenaghan. What does it mean that thousands of bowlers not named Mitchell could not perform this feat, yet 2 Mitchells could?

                          Re: A Starc Quirk Record

A part from taking his ODI wickets at better than an average of 20 and a strike rate better than 25 (which is brilliant), Starc is ahead of both Waqar Younis & Wasim Akram on percentages for dismissal by 'bowled' for international bowlers with more than 100 ODI wickets. We could be currently seeing the best bowler of a yorker of all time if he continues to keep bowling international batters at this rate. (2 bowled, 1 lbw so far tonight off the yorker).

And hark back to the Shane Warne comment - funny.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
