World Cup Final: Australia v New Zealand

Any tips or predictions for what should be a cracking final?

I don't think it will be close. Not sure who the winner is though, just a feeling that one side will not perform as best as possible.

Clarke is retiring. I think Bailey, Watson & Johnson could retire too and (not seriously) perhaps Doherty as we don't use a specialist spinner anymore.

I think the home ground advantage will make the difference for us. Unfortunate for NZ as dual hosts who haven't lost a game.

I'm predicting low scoring as in our group round encounter, both batting squads struggled to make the adjustment to better bowling attacks. Tipping us to win by 5 overs / 30 runs

I think we will win. NZ have posted some big scores on small grounds, the MCG may be a lot different. The bowlers must support Starc, as did they did the other night.

If Australia win I have to get up and go to work at 2am. Carn the mighty Kiwis.

Australia comfortably for me. Bouncy pitches and a proper ground will expose NZ.

              Tend to agree.

I'm heading along with a group of mates, and a few Kiwi's, so hope you're right.

              High score - Warner
              Most wickets - Starc

This is an inspired New Zealand line up though, on paper it's Australia comfortably but this just feels like a perfect storm. I'm still tipping the Aussies but would not be shocked

MaCullum didn't look like getting bat on one. Starc looks irresistible today!

You were wrong about him getting caught halfway to the boundary!

                        Not that I am complaining...
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Certainly have kept them down with only 31 conceded off the first 10 overs.

An extra wicket would help though.

                            Mitch Johnson also started well.
