There was always something up I believe with Qatar getting the 2022 World Cup. I'm sure there were bribes.

This is important for the world game that they completely come down and extinguish corruption.

Is it really being cleaned up? It's a start and a massive one at that but there is a long way to go. If Blatter is 're-elected then FIFA will still be a joke. It needs change at the very top.

I don't think they've even looked at that yet, this is the tip of the iceberg(all the South American bibes stuff) and will be going on for a while yet.

We were never going to get that cup anyway, the USA is the one that mised out.

From what I heard this morning this investigation and arrests pertain to the South Africa bid only. The Russia and Qatar bids will be looked at next.

On a side note, I heard someone mention today that Blatters likely replacement would be under pressure to put the Australian side back in Oceania. That would be a huge kick in the wrong direction for us.
