Amazing footage this morning of surfer Mick Fanning getting attacked by a GW Shark. He punches it repeatedly and got picked up by a jet ski before sustaining any injuries. Tough bugger, lucky bugger. Whichever news service you prefer will have the footage.

I wasn't even in the water and I need a new wet suit.

It looks to me like it comes back on the other side of him and strikes at the board, knocking him off. If the board hadn't been there, hoo boy.

If the board wasn't there Mick was gonesky, incredible, when the wave comes into screen I can't imagine what family and friends would've went through.

He is weighing up his future, I wouldn't blame him if he hangs up his board. He mightn't be so lucky next time!

Surfers all have this strange brotherhood that nobody can replicate, paddling towards him to help is just second nature to them.
