    Ellyse Perry

Best cricketer in the country at the moment? Watching her bowling at the poms last night she us obviosly a cut above at the level she in competing in with the new ball. She was getting the new ball to tail back at the batter in the first few overs.

A few of the balls she bowled would have been too good for the guys. They were clearly too good for the girls who just couldn't get a bat in them.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Outstanding all round athlete. A genuine star of any sport she plays.

Magnificent athlete and a very well educated young lady. She should have sponsors lining up to have her promote their products/business.

How would she go at Big Bash? I reckon she could easily earn a place.

It would be a train wreck. She'd struggle in a district firsts T20 match.

I don't know. She can make the ball hoop..and we all know with very recent examples, modern day Aussie batsmen can't perform with a ball that does anything in the air or off the deck.

She can swing it but at gentle speed, and without the control of your average willy military medium pacer.

I remember we had an Australian opening bowler (can't recall her name now) come down to training when I was playing district cricket. She bowled with reasonable shape but there was no venom, and in centre square practice couldn't put any pressure on the first XI bats. It was pretty ugly.

It's normally the lack of bounce they produce. They can be quickish through the air but can rarely get a batsman on the back foot.
Still Perry is a rare talent and when batting she applies herself and puts value on her wicket. Some good cricketers could learn that lesson from her.

I played cricket with a woman at work who played for Australia. She was an opening bowler but couldn't control the movement at pace fast enough to trouble good batsmen. And she didn't have the annoying component that really good bowlers have.

Anyway they have district level players playing in the Big Bash toward the end of the tournament. One of them nearly got a century last year I reckon. Perry could play at that level.

If she can leave the ball outside off stump should be in the test team
