Still the question remains. I'm sure it wasn't meant, but I did flinch at the possible trivialising of articles on domestic violence.
It was a reference to the pathetic types in the media who jump onto whatever is the current popular campaign and try to force themselves to the front by having the most extreme view. Usually sighting examples that are totally inappropriate and demanding punishment that's utterly unjustified. A couple of months ago it was racism and Adam Goodes, currently it's domestic violence, in a couple of months it'll be something else.
It's entirely self-serving, they know it's effective click bait, and they get waves of online response from mindless sheep also wanting to be front and centre of the current trend (this thread is a micro sample initself), but it's all in the aim of getting their name in lights.
It actually does the cause a disservice because while it might be front and centre for a few months it then gets pushed to the side and forgotten as something else becomes the bandwagon to jump on.

Seriously mate , are you that cynical to believe anyone could draw some sort of correlation between that incident and domestic violence . I agree on some journos jumping on a cause

I think we're coming at it from different angles, but probably best just to park it.
