This is always a great little discussion piece. The Guardian have released 41-100 of their 2015 Best Footballers In The World List, with the rest to follow in coming days.

Anyone care to have a stab at who should be in the top 40?

So difficult to pick the best in the whole world. I only really know Arsenal Players and there are 4 included. I will nominate Sanchez and Giroud.

It's tricky, but with 11-100 named, those left of the megastars will obviously be there; Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahamovic, Neymar, Suarez etc.

So between us we've got Neur, Aguero, Muller, Giroud, Sanchez, Messi, Ibrahamovic, Suarez, Ronaldo and Neymar. That's 10.

Giroud isn't in the top 100 in the world. Was Ozil in 11-100?

Ozil should be above Giroud. I love Giroud but he isn't in the same class as Mesut Ozil.

Those Chelsea boys(outside of Courtois and Willian) are lucky to still be in there.

Quite a few get in or get inflated on reputation. Santi unlucky to be as low as 95th although it's his first time on the list. He'd be leading our B&F at the moment.
