3 so far this test FFS: Just plant your foot behind the line!!!

    Is it really that hard?

Posted in another thread, but I agree.
Really no need for a bowler to within millimetres of the line, a good inch or two is not going to make any difference.
I imagine we have bowled plenty more that have not been called due to not needing to be reviewed.
Something we will have to work on before the NZ series.

It's crickets version of missed set shots. Have a look at the way the fast bowlers train because they always over step the mark.
Pattinsons explanation last night on the problem indicated he doesn't really intend to change. He's a dumb arse.

Yep, I don't get it. They can change their bowling action with bio-mechanical sports experts with expert physiologists but they can't change their run up 15cm back??? Surely it's not that hard...

It all comes down to training. McDermott should monitor where their foot lands at training and insist they get their run-up right. When you train poorly you never iron out the kinks in your bowling action.

Does anyone else think we lost a final this year because of inaccurate goal kicking? This is very similar and we are just lucky we aren't playing a really good side.

Fast bowlers by nature are dumb. For the sake of a hypothetical 0.0001% advantage they risk ruining 20-60% of their output. I used to shake my head watching them mark their run ups with half their foot over the line to begin. Just stupidity.

Unfortunately Pattinson stands out in a crowd of dumb arses as being particularly dumb, so I doubt he'll try to change.

              .
Won't be his decision, at the end of the day if it keeps happening he will be given the ultimatum to change something or DCM.

Brett Lee made some complicated explanation about it yesterday before play yesterday. Then he blamed his shoes for what a goose he was sounding like.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
