Not sure how you have come to that conclusion? He has batted twice in the series, admittedly dismissed cheaply in Melbourne and run out in Canberra. Hard to take much from that.

He averaged 32 in the Matador Cup, which is ok. Hasn't had a bat yet in shield yet this season due to an earlier injury.

When he was Test keeper, his keeping was also solid (better than Haddin's I thought). At present, he just doesn't look the same player. I am a fan, I hope he recaptures his best form.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about his batting. I have always thought his keeping was shoddy, just seems like a batsman trying to keep. Doesn't appear to come naturally to him at all.

I guess it has worked for him though, has allowed him to play for Australia in all forms.

Its true that his keeping was never top shelf. Even when at the top of his game, his keeping was just satisfactory whilst his batting was good enough to bat in the top 6 in any form of the game. To me, both look to have regressed somewhat in recent times.

I have to agree with others that, on present form, his limited overs spot must be in jeopardy, with Handscomb, Paine, Ludemann and others all showing enough to stake claims.

I've always had some question marks on his character so he has never really convinced me. To me Wade seems to be bordering on being a good batsman and a bit better that an adequate keeper.
For the T20 world cup I wonder if the selectors will stick with him? I also wonder if Wade would still be the first up choice to replace Neville if he was injured? The quality and depth of our wicket keepers has slipped back a bit since Haddin's departure.

What's been your issue with his character G? Are you talking more about his temperament at the highest levels?

Mitch Marsh is playing very well for a fairly quick and solid 88 so far. It would be good to see if a ton can bring out some confidence in him, as let's face it, the selectors seem hell bent in him playing so we may as well hope he goes as well as he can.
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Great ton for Marsh off 81 balls.

I've never thought he had a true test match temperament but he also strikes me as immature and a touch arrogant and the arrogance is without basis. I think he is happy enough with average results which limits him in my opinion.

Whilst I've never warmed to him I do regards him as a good cricketer but he shouldn't be considered as a long term test cricketer.

Fair enough. You probably follow things a bit closer than I do.

What I'm finding interesting today is the constant talking up of the SCG and the attendance/support from the Sydney people. Apparently there's 33k there for this admittedly dead rubber. But, there's some serious gushing going on from the commentary team.
