    Vale Martin Crowe

Martin Crowe, New Zealand's greatest test cricket batsman, died in Auckland after a prolonged battle with lymphoma.

Super player. Was head and shoulders above every other NZ batsman from his era in terms of talent and technique - Crowe and Hadlee at their peak basically carried NZ to competitiveness.

Very sad to hear that. Martin Crowe was a class act as a cricketer and as a human being. Beautiful, elegant yet powerful batsman and an intelligent, soulful person to listen to, talking about cricket, his health battles or musings on life in general.

Terribly sad news . He was NZ's version of Greg Chappell .
