Who would you have left out of the side?

Need to stop playing fast bowlers who bowl short and not play blokes who can't play spin bowling.
Siddle would be a huge asset against Sri Lanka and Warner has no idea with swing or spin.
I think the selectors are a disgrace.

How then can you call the selectors a disgrace and yet not have alternatives based on at least some research?

Because of the players have proven they can't play certain types of bowlers or bowl a way to certain pitches you try others.. Like football teams give kids a go to see if they are up to it .. Or do you want to just keep picking the same players and keep losing to teams you shouldn't ?
So your telling me we have no one else ? I don't know who I'm not a selector but they must have kids they keep an eye on .. Choose them , put pressure on the guys already there and not doing anything

Hat trick for Herath. Our batsmen really are clueless against spin in the sub-continent.

What a disgrace. This test series is really showing how poor this team is with the bat.

We are being bullied by a very average side,

Burns heroic shot with the 2nd ball of the innings underlines to me that he does not have the temperament to be a true test class opener. It's good to have a positive mindset but an opener needs to build an innings on these tracks and put a higher value on his wicket.
Warner failing to bat out the final over of a session is a worrying sign that's right through this side. Smith did that last match as well and our batsman just aren't prepared to block out overs no matter what the position of the match should indicate.

Smith stepping so far to the leg side and had his off stump exposed.

Really poor performances by out batsman

I'd be looking at Bancroft and batsman that place a high value on their wicket.
