Was that the horse (can't remember the name) that was spooked on the way back and broke its leg on the rail? If it was that's just shit bad luck not much could have been done at the time.

The horse I was talking about was Admire Rakti who had a heart attack . The horse that was spooked was Araldo .The strapper was my next door neighbour who of course was devastated and was given time to say goodbye

I guess what I was really asking was, were the practices exposed on 4 Corners known to have been occurring within the industry? Did anyone actually do anything to call out and stop the abhorrent behaviour or did everyone turn and look the other way?

I would think and hope that GRV did not know the extent of the cruelty but did know on a smaller scale which of course is inexcusable. Hopefully now all of those practices will cease with penalties/fines/bans

I'm not talking about GRV, I'm talking about the peers of the pricks who behaved inexcusably. If they turned a blind eye over a period of time then that's pathetic and they've let the industry down, have essentially been complicit in the cruelty and contributed to the banning.

RSPCA is already bracing itself for an influx of unwanted dogs, the rest will be slaughtered, any decent dogs will be sold to or raced in Victoria.

I agree G, the practise must have been widely known, even by the association, yet they turned a blind eye. Someone must have tipped off 4Corners and Fairfax, and then it all came out.
