There aren't the best league anymore and they know that. The idiots that support the teams are worse.

The national side is a different matter.
The National side is top class, no doubt.

Italian football as a whole thinks it is top shit and that just gives me the irrits.

They're corrupt and think they rule the world

Treatment of Ahn Jung-Hwan after the 2002 World Cup is a case in point.

The Perugia president was an idiot before and after that. Not all Italians here.

Maybe that's the overriding factor then. Either way...

One can only go by what they see and know

          Manchester United 1 - Barcelona 0

Manchester United win the semi final 1-0 on aggregate.

A poor clearence by Barcelona after 14 minutes allowed Paul Scholes to hit a thumping shot with the outside of his right foot, giving the goal keeper no chance whatsoever.

A game of few chances really.

So it's an all English final in Moscow in 3 weeks as Manyoo await the winner of the Chelsea/Liverpool tie tomorrow morning.

Hmmm, Scholes with a thumping shot giving the keeper no chance, who'd have thought?

All english final in Moscow. I suppose that's one of the interesting things about the Champions League, you play where you're told to play.

Be interesting to see if Riise can score for Chelsea. If ever there was a player with more goals for opposition its him.

                Chelsea 3 Liverpool 2

                Chelsea progress 4-3 on aggregate.

The better side won this match, there's no doubt about that. Chelsea's early dominance saw them take the lead through Didier Drogba on 34 minutes, a crisp shot after Pepe Reina had saved from Solomon Kalou.

Yossi Benyoun then went for a mazy run through the heart of the Chelsea defence before playing Fernando Torres through on 64 minutes.

1-1 after 90 minutes. Extra time to be played where Chelse thought they had taken the lead. A goalmouth scramble was partially cleared, but Michael Essien thundered a shot into the Liverpool net. Only problem was 3 Chelsea players were offside & interfering with play.

A minute later Massi Hyypia's clumsy tackle on Michael Ballack resulted in a Chelsea penalty which was dispatched by Frank Lampard.

It became 3-1 to Chelse shortly after when Nicholas Anelka played in Didier Drogba for his second on the night.

With 5 minutes left Ryan Babbel's speculative long range shot was fumbled by Petr Chech in the Chelsea goal & suddenly it was 'game on'.

During extra time Liverpool had a claim for a penalty denied when Didier Drogba made contact with Sammi Hyypia but the ref waved play on.

So it's Manchester United v Chelsea in the final in Moscow in 3 weeks time.

Yes, but they're playing for the clubs battling to avoid relegation.

Fiorentina lost on penalties. Rangers play St Petersbburg in Manchester now.
I suppose the Italians got some of their own mecidine back.
Rangers hardly left there half all game, Fiorentina pressed and pressed but couldn't penetrate a solid defence. Christian Vieri skyed one and ex bational player Liverani had one saved.

Did Rangers play 5 back or were the 4 just fantastic?

They had a back 9 with 1 striker.
Italian teams get criticised for this sort of stuff.
