Harbhajan Singh slap shocker

AN altercation between Test teammates Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth has rocked the Indian Premier League.
Off-spinner Singh, playing for Mumbai Indians, slapped Indian teammate Sreesanth, playing for the Punjab Kings, across the face in a bitter aftermath to yesterday's match in Mohali.
Sreesanth was left sobbing after the altercation.
Harbhajan, who was captaining Mumbai Indians in the absence of injured Sachin Tendulkar, slapped Sreesanth when the paceman said "hard luck" following his team's 66-run win.
Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Niranjan Shah said the spinner had been asked to explain his actions.
"The BCCI condemns the behaviour of Harbhajan Singh as a contracted player of the board and he is called upon to explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against him and has been asked for clarification," he said in a statement.
Kings XI captain Yuvraj Singh described the incident as "really ugly".
"It was unacceptable what happened," he said. "Harbhajan came back to the dressing room and apologised to Sreesanth."
Harbhajan said the media was trying to sensationalise the issue.
"It is not such a big issue the way people are making it out to be," he said on television. "It is between me and Sree. What you're showing on TV, it is between us."
Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody, who is coaching the Kings XI, said it was "unacceptable".
"At the end of the day, players shake hands. But what we saw was something you don't want to see," Moody said.
"The positive thing is that Harbhajan had a long chat with Sreesanth. But I am not sure what ramifications this incident will have."
Reports confirmed Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth, but what led to the incident remained clouded.
There were suggestions Sreesanth abused Harbhajan, while another report said the off-spinner gave Sreesanth a playful tap on the cheek that triggered the altercation.
IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and ICC principal adviser I.S. Bindra had words with Harbhajan after the match and there was expected to be an official review of the incident.
Upset after the defeat Harbhajan said: "When you lose nothing seems to be OK. They have to be captain of their own bowling. I don't like losing. When you lose, you don't feel happy."
