I just hope Handscomb isn't rushed into blowing a debut hundred.

.....and then subject to two or three poor knocks and dropped in order for Marsh to take his place and Maddinson to retain his.
I always suspected you were Rod Marsh.

I like the way we are bowling and while I respect this Pakistan team it's going top be interesting to see if they can handle the conditions and live up to somewhere near their batting averages.
Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"
Running through them now. Pakistan are looking nothing like the side that was so plucky in England
And Bird making the decision to not play him in Tassie look even stupider.

If he could keep as well as he sledges he'd be unbeatable.
Quality bowling and fielding performance by the Aussies tonight. Fuller length and got the rewards, ably assisted by the cordon - Pakis would have gotten the Aussies out for under 300 had they taken their chances, and then they would have batted in the best of the conditions today. Younis looks shot - he's scored less than 20 runs combined in his last 6 test innings. Misbah probably not far away as well. And when Wahab is your no.8 with a batting average of 8, you have a very long tail.
Melb and Syd tests will suit Pakistan more but the Aussies are just unbeatable at the Gabba.
Handscomb was very good today and last night, but I worry that he has been bowled twice in two innings now. The best batsmen hardly ever get castled - I reckon bowlers will cotton on to bowling a fuller length closer to the stumps to him in the future.
I agree - bit harsh to ask the Pakistani's to play a day night test at a venue that historically gets a lot of swing. Was never going to create a great contest.
