In my time watching sport in this country, there has been no more iconic broadcaster than Les Murray.
To watch Football in this country was to invite Les Murray into your loungeroom. The Australian media is poorer for his passing. The World Game will never be the same.

That's the same way I thought of Les. He was the face of football in Australia. A true legend. He wa also very analytical and provided great insight into the game. Like Richie he will be sorely missed but he leaves a huge legacy and has helped put the sport in the mainstream. Thank you Les.Comment
