Does Smith know how to captain. He's employing a one-day field when we badly need wickets.

ah i see what you were saying now. Do we believe they picked him for his keeping skills?
Great start for England this morning.
I think we are in all sorts of trouble here. What are those little marks on the pitch? Surely it's not scuffs from where the ball has been hitting it.

I don't like to whinge so I will refer you to Gary for my opinion on the faults in Steve smith's captaincy style. He's certainly had enough texts from me on the topic.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
Aleem Dar is the best umpire. I don't understand the criticism of him. Clearly out lbw.

Two quick wickets, one a brain fade by Malan and one an excellent skidder by Lyon to trap Ali in front. Bit of a collector's item - Aleem Dar giving an LBW to the Aussies and a good decision too.

Ch9 are already setting up a signed lithograph, signed by Aleem. 'Aleem gives the Aussies an LBW'. Capped at just 1,000 units and just $2,500 or 5 payments of $500. Perfect Christmas present.

Great last hour by the Aussies. England now 8/270 and about 50 runs short of parity I reckon.
Never give a sucker an even break - Malan's crap shot has triggered a collapse of 4/24 when they were cruising and saw off the second new ball at 4/246
Screamer by Warner in leg slip. Session extended as they're 9 down for 286.

England would have taken that at the start of yesterday but I think they'd be disappointed not to get at least another 50 runs after weathering the 2nd new ball storm this morning. It's a competitive total but not a great one.
Paine dropped an easy one yesterday, costs runs.
Marsh dropped an easy one today, cost runs.
Bancroft out for 5.
They owe the selectors something even moreso for the rest of the test now.
