Does he get another chance in South Africa? Renshaw was dropped with better numbers after playing in difficult Indian conditions. Unfortunately he hasn't got any shield cricket at the moment to find some form. Would Joe Burns be a chance to return?

They have to bring back Renshaw if Bancroft is to be replaced.
I think it has to be an opener to replace Bancroft not a number 3.

Before the shield break Burns was making bucket loads of runs opening alongside Renshaw who couldn't buy a run.

Can Usman open the batting? The ball's coming on and he's protected from slow bowling if he can..........then that way we can get Maxwell back into the test lineup!

Circumstances have meant I've only been able to watch bits and pieces of this test, I plan to put a full day in tomorrow to avoid the heat.

However, the snippet I did see the morning of day two with Australia bowling to a "plan" for the England tail annoyed me immensely. Bowling full and on the stumps to the tail has always gotten wickets too, mindless short bowling and getting smacked around is precisely that....mindless. We conceded 40 more runs than we needed to, dropped catches notwithstanding.
                      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Burns has done most to merit Bancroft's spot and there is no more shield cricket for anyone to find form.

We certainly have a fixture that prevents any player outside the test team really put a case forward for selection.

                            After an exceptionally slow start Mitch Marsh powered to a 50 off 64 deliveries with 6 x 4's and 2 x 6's

                            114 up at the moment.

Marsh brothers are on fire. Mitch 54, Shaun 88. Building a nice lead now.

5 of the 6 batsman have made scores of 50 plus and the 2 at the crease are obviously not out.
