    Footscray trugo club to reopen

We have a sport here in the western suburbs that isn't played many in other places called trugo. A few years ago the sport was losing popularity and they closed the Footscray trugo club. But the club has recently reopened and they are looking for members:

I'm going to head down and join up myself. If anyone else is interested then see you there.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

And enjoying a return to popularity in the district. It's good to see because there is no game in the world quite like it.

We don't need trugo to slap some bearded Herbert around. Although the mallets would save your hands from getting wet.

The Trugo club (or cluck as TD seems to like to call it!) in Yarraville is still open, although it mostly seems to host kids birthday parties. I've seen them playing on occasion and often they have someone standing in the park asking people walking past if they want to come in and play.

I just noticed cluck and snuck in hoping to change it with nobody noticing...

Is the Yarraville club is the one in Yarraville Garden?

I know where you mean, near the SD School, there is another at Yarraville Gardens. I think there is one closer to Stoney Creek too.

The trugo club at 139 Buckley street Footscray is having a come and try day tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm. BBQ and all the rest. I'm going down there before the AFLW.

I've a sneaking suspicion that is the Footscray Trugo club in Footscray, not Yarraville. And yes, that may well be me...
