    NZ v England

Wouldn’t normally bother putting this series up.
England bowled out for 58 in the first test . The fifth time a team bowled out before lunch ( tea being a day nighter)
9/27 at one stage , so England rallied to 58

    Wow
Knocked over in the 21st over and only 2 bowlers used by NZ.

You would suggest the conditions must have been suited to bowling. Note that NZ won the toss and sent them in. Interesting to see how the Kiwi's bat.

I would think it is very unusual to be starting Test Matches in NZ this into the autumn.

        Go Kane!

Is Joe Root still the captain? His leadership must be getting terminal, he wasn't exactly in inspired match winning captaincy form here. He looked the passive type of captain. The type that you have to remind occasionally that he's the captain, that might be time to do something. Maybe? Skip.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I think we should thank the Poms for inventing the game of cricket but they now need to go away until they can actually play it

England are a rabble and Root is probably the worst captain in world cricket. As soon as they leave the comfort of home and have to play with the ball used in the rest of the world they're not even competitive.

The legend of Ben Strokes grew to Jaques Kallis level the more games he missed, but reality is he's a bits and pieces player that needs quality around him.

They are even worse than us. We've had a couple of positive results on the road the last 12 months, India wasn't the disaster it usually is and we ultimately ended up needing to outplay them for another day and we would have won the series. As it was they ended up climbing out of the coffin and knocking us down. It was frustrating to lose the series but it wasn't the usual SNAFU we come away from the subcontinent with. This tour of South Africa started with promise but we got a bit distracted and lost our way last test. The real situation should become clearer over the next few days.

I'm going to pretend the Pakistan series in England never happened.
