Shows what I know - he's currently 90 from 92 in a game where the second-highest score is 41. Those are some big time runs.

Marnus is also cruising towards another hundred and is in the 90s.

The bat-off might be down to two.

You mozzed him - out for 94!

Marnus has just kept on going, now 136 not out. Has to be odds on to make the team for the first test.

Salzmann with a run a ball 33 before he copped a ripper from Boland.

He's pretty lucky with the wicket he's playing on. The deck in Adelaide looked great to bat on, even yesterday. Far harder going in Hobart and Melbourne.

I'm sure you are right but runs are runs and I just can't see the selectors overlooking a proven test player that's in form for an unknown quantity.

I know Green is seen as the number 3 or 4 but how many all rounders can that high up the order and still be productive with the ball

I'd prefer to see our batting order
2 openers maybe Khawaja and Weatherald
            Labuschagne
            Smith
            Head
            Green

Oh yeah I completely agree with you on that - more just making the point that luck plays a part.

I'm not and have never been a huge Marnus fan, but he's still just a straight up better cricketer than the guys he's competing with for a spot. I hope they do have the courage to make him an opener, as I think that's where the side can most use his best qualities.

I'm watching the Vics vs NSW
Davies playing some really nice shots
I'm hoping to see a bit from Salzmann

Sutherland isn't that impressive with his bowling

Boland has been mighty in this one bowling spell and has just about bowled the Vics to a win. He's taken 4 wickets in the spell and NSW are 9 down with 50 runs to get

Good fightback from the Vics with NSW going from 0/90 to all out for 216. Murphy started the collapse with 3 quick wickets. Konstas with 53 before chopping Murphy onto the stumps.
