He's been fighting this scourge for most of his adult life, and he did it with a smile and with time for everybody. Amazing man.
Was about to post this myself. He epitomised grace, tenacity, courage and strength in the face of serious adversity and impending death, all while performing at an elite level of sport. A true role model. I wish more professional athletes were like Jarrod. His family will no doubt be in grief as emotion, but they can equally be proud in emotion too.
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023
Terribly sad, I had a little bit to do with Jarrod when he was first diagnosed with cancer in his late teens. He was a terrific support for a friend of mine who lost his battle to cancer at the age of 17.
Jarrod fought with grace and dignity right till the end. Condolences to his family. Certainly feeling it today. RIP
"Loves a scrap....oh yeah & he's a pretty handy footballer as well"

17 is so young. So much about to happen.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
He shared a room at Royal Melbourne Hospital with my father when Jarrod was undergoing treatment the second time. His wife had only just recently had Lusi.
Such a lovely, genuine guy.
Condolences to his family and friends, gone far too soon.
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath
