Nice win tonight that almost went pear shape when Tye had a bad over.

I read a story on Carey attempting to cheat last night , knocking the bails off with his gloves then claiming the batsman hit his wicket.
What is going on with this stuff ? Is nothing sinking in ? Cameras everywhere as well , what happened to all the talk of playing the game in the right spirit ?

Doesn't sound like elite honesty to me.

Clearly you haven't seen the video. Good to condemn him off hearsay in the media, the media is never wrong.

What a load of rubbish. He accidentally knocked the bails off with the tip of his gloves, wouldn't have felt it and wasn't sure what had happened. Umpires checked and the bat was nowhere near the stumps.

How would he cheat in that situation when clearly the umpires would always check the replay?

That's the story?? Really? If the media are pushing this narrative, wait for third umpire reviews of catches where the technology can't confirm it carried, even though it probably did. Then that's also 'cheating'. If this is cheating, it sounds like a 'piles on' mentality by some journo's that will make this summer even worse.

A little like the sandpaper ? Clearly cameras would see it but they still did it !

Come on seriously the keeper would know if the bat went anywhere near the stumps , your saying it went “nowhere near it”
Carey was so close to the stumps he actually hit them but wouldn’t know the bat was nowhere near it ?

I'm no wicketkeeper but I'm fairly sure you watch the ball, not the bat.

You implied he deliberately knocked the bails off and then appealed. I can't speak for Carey but it appeared to me that he wasn't sure what happened so just asked the question, rather than a huge appeal.

Ironic that you blast the media at every opportunity on here but take this "story" on face value because it suits your narrative. Talk about only hearing what you want to.

I haven't seen this supposed cheating story anywhere by the way. It certainly isn't being widely reported so I would suggest it is a complete non-story.

Breaking: Tim Paine caught in betting scandal.

The stand-in Aussie skipper faces a lifetime ban for not declaring contact with cricket odds-making bookmakers. A source informs that last week Paine was using a private iPad and a banner advert in ‘safari’ appeared for an online bookmaker, possibly of Pakistani origin or not. Paine did not advise Cricket Australia of his contact with this bookmaker. Paine says he didn’t see the advert as he had ‘ad blocking’ software on his iPad. Irregardless the lifetime ban must be announced soon. This is yet another hanging offence by a corrupt group of highly paid athletes. Hopefully the Federal Government can legislate these crooks out of existence. All us media agree.

This will be the headline story on The Age and ABC by lunch. It's too good a news for them to risk it being debunked by actual investigation. Social media outrage will be cited in the story naturally.

Great use of the average outraged idiot's favourite (non)word by the way!

I’m not implying I’m just posting about a story I read , I was at work so didn’t see any of it, I will try and find it, it came up in my Facebook news feed.
If it’s true it’s ridiculous, I never heard anything about it beforehand. And yes I find the media over the top and headlining stuff to get a reaction. Seems it was another one of those .

After getting off to a good start we have lost 3 wickets in the span of about 6 deliveries

We need a good innings from Maxwell

You would think this is being played in India with the crowd numbers favouring India so much.
Sad to see Australian fans drop off like this.
                            Kohli is unbelievable.

Great last over to get 14 and win the match in India. Maxwell with 56. Finch fails again with a duck,.
