If you take our top line bowlers out, that’s a horrid squad. The curators needs to make the pitches extra juicy and breaking early. If we get roads where our bowlers can’t dominate, don’t bother playing the test.

Is that really going to help or just condemn us to multiple scores under 100?

I can't see that happening. Our curators produce wickets for CA management, not the cricket department, they're roads that provide the best chance of 5 days of TV and crowd exposure.

Great to see Harris get a go and Handscomb should play ahead of Marsh. Our pace attack is good enough without Marsh. We need to get genuine batsmen into the team.

I think we are not going to get big scores no matter the pitch. But they can. So I think we need to bring them down to our level in batting to have a real chance. I tend to agree with GS, but every other cricket playing nation produce pitches that trend towards helping their national team. We are above that though, the money is just too good.

They've picked their best side. You don't need an all-rounder if your batsman can't make enough runs.

Handscomb's fielding ability both the slip and at short leg is required.

So it's a case of watch when our world class bowlers go head to head with India's world class batting line up, and grin and bear the other 1/4 to 1/3 of the tests?

I'm just not sure where our runs come from.

Good as we can hope for in my opinion. Head can bowl as many overs as Marsh would have.

At a similar or higher standard than Marsh bowls at too.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Let's be real, the only bloke who thinks Travis Head can bowl is Travis Head. There's a reason he barely bowled for SA before becoming captain and Labuschagne's leggies were preferred against Pakistan.

Hasn't Marsh only taken one wicket in 7 tests? If we're not going to bowl him it's pointless putting him in as an all-rounder. Good call going with an extra batsman in his place.
