    soccer ground songs

Just watching the Sheffield derby (fantastic atmosphere by the way) being played at Hillsborough and the crowd is singing Hi Ho Silver Lining by Jeff Beck before the game which i guess is a tradition. Off the top of my head:

Ynwa -gerry and the pacemakers - liverpool
theme from local hero - dire straits - newcastle
glad all over - dave clark 5 - palace
    tubthumping - chumbawumba - bolton (?)

    What others are there?

The Liquidator always starts the Bridge games. Parklife is also played a lot, Damon Albarn is a big Chelsea fan.
        The curse is dead.

Thanks Lemmon, i'd never heard of this one so just watched some youtube videos. Love it. Great lyrics! Could just imagine Stephen Fry on the terraces at Yarrow rd belting this one out.

We borrowed one that used to apply to Paul Gascoine and sing "Who ate all the pies?" to Scott Cummings when he was still playing.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Noticed Wolves come out to Slade's 'Cum on Feel the Noize'. The band was from wolverhampton so totally appropriate and a cracking song.

It's a beauty, isn't it. I stumbled across the 2016 post game celebrations during lockdown, reflected on the significance of 2016 to underdogs. See Below. Any footy club that has a 114 year drought emphasises the regularity with which the 'Dogs win premierships. Here's a list of the mainly football codes' drought breakers of 2016.
