    Ian Chappell has cancer

I saw on the news tonight that Ian Chappell is battling skin cancer, all those days out in the sun are taking there toll.

Good luck with the battle Ian. You helped to ignite my love of the greatest game of all.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

    Loved Chappelli.

Still the best captain I've seen lead Australia. Great attacking batsman and tough competitor. He would lead my all time best Aussie team. Wish him well.

Him or Mark Taylor. But before Taylor came along it was Chappelli X 100 times more than any other captain.

I thought this could have been a new TISM track being announced when I saw the thread title.

Cancer is completely *!*!*!*!ed and it's always a cause for reflection when someone in the public eye gets the tap on the door from the biggest bitch of them all.

        Hope he pulls through.
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I lost my dad to cancer in 2017. It's a terrible thing watching your heroic dad who never backed down from a fight just waste away. I hate just hearing the word.

A terrific competitor and captain. He knew just how to niggle up Lillee to get the best out of him

The days of wearing those terry towelling hats and probably very limited sunblock won't have helped him
From memory Greg also struggled with sun spots etc

Hoping for the best with Chappelli
