Not sure why they would make this a day/night match. The time difference with NZ is huge, let alone the Eastern States.

BTW: I have decided I don't like Day/Night matches.

Well you had better get used to them, they aren't going anywhere.

Agreed that Perth is a strange choice for a day/night test given the 3 hour time difference already makes it TV friendly for the eastern states. I'm not complaining though, it means I will get to see more of the days play after work.

The players and spectators in Perth will probably enjoy the night sessions given the extreme heat at present.

The big question will be whether New Zealand's attack has the penetration required to break through on flat Australian pitches.

If I'm in the Kiwi camp, I'm absolutely playing 5 bowlers and batting Santner at 7: Santner, Southee, Boult, Ferguson and Wagner.

Think they need to squeeze in the pace of Ferguson, especially in Perth, and Santner is a good enough player to bat 7.

I'm not as big a wrap on this Kiwi side as some, think they're good at home but will struggle on the road. BJ Watling is the best keeper-batsman in the world at the moment though, serious player.

Not at all but he did exactly what NZ cricket is renowned for, he put the breaks on our scoring and snared a wicket when required

Three test hundreds in a row, he clearly values his wicket. Best 3rd batsmen for a very long time.
