He was one of their better bowlers at the Boxing Day test

I can't remember anyone bursting on to the scene and being so consistent he is so good to watch.

                  Perhaps Mike Hussey?
I just wonder if he would have played much at all if it wasn't for the untimely and sickening injury to Smith?

It was a great first day for the Aussies against a weakened opposition. Labuschagne dominates again, Burns struggles again and somehow one of the world's best batsman has found a way to look ordinary on home pitches against an attack missing its two best bowlers.

Big chance for Wade to cement his spot in the side with a big score today and to see if Head and Paine can build on recent form.

Has there been a touring team in recent years where so many things have gone wrong for them? I genuinely thought NZ would have been more competitive.

Adam Gilchrist? We forget how good a batsman he was.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Double hundred to Labuschagne. Unbelievable form this summer for him.

NZ have to show some fight when they get their chance at the crease

Paine departs for 35 and somehow de Grandhomme strikes again
Pattinson bats ahead of Cummins is a little surprising

We had seen a lot of Gilly before he got into the Test team. Labuschagne has really come from nowhere to now be in the mix of being regarded as one of the top 4 batsman in world cricket
