Takes so long, it is boring to watch. I played baseball in high school and it is fun to play, but hate watching it.

I think Baseball is one of the most traditional games in terms of rule changes so your view that it's been messed up is a bit surprising.
Plenty of innovative things for the viewers on the tele but yes it's slow moving but it's been that way for a long time.

I used to enjoy playing it as well.

As someone who has followed baseball for almost 50 years, and played for close to 20, I cannot disagree more - Baseball is the greatest game on the planet IMHO. The problem is casual fans do not take the time to actually understand what is happening pitch to pitch. Same as American Football, where strategy plays such a huge part of the game. Both sports are a combination of extreme athletic skill and way above average intellect.

I will be trying to avoid the scores all day at work so I can watch the game tonight. I do wish they would play the game on Saturday night instead of Sunday night in the US.

I enjoy baseball.

Can't get into Gridiron. Respect the athletes for sure.

I love the world game for the strategy / tactics.

Not a follower of American Football but did watch the highlights of the Super Bowl. Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs. Rihanna put on a big half time show.

My sports are Australian Rules Football, Association Football (Soccer) & Cricket. Don’t mind the Tennis either.

Yeah tend to agree. We understand and love our Australian Rules football. Too a lot of Americans who watch the AFL GF each year they wonder how it works and try to understand our game. Americans understand and love American Football and when we as Australians tune in to the Super Bowl we try to understand the game.

Yeah my wifes a yank. She laughs that a game can go for 5 days and still not get a winner.

Baseball is even boring to play. You get more enjoyment fielding than batting for 1 minute. At least with cricket you can build a score as a batsman and have fun.

American Sports are killed because of all the starting and stopping and all the ads in between.

How do you go watching cricket, which is probably the slowest and most stop start game around

I guess with cricket, while there's often not a lot happening, there's at least something happening. As in, with NFL there are so many long stoppages/time outs/whatevers, where there's nothing happening (well, for the casual observer - maybe those who are deep into it get a kick out of the strategy?). In a maiden over in test cricket, in many ways "nothing" has happened - but the game has continued.

I guess you could form an argument that cricket is often a more boring sport, but the way NFL is played makes it more boring to watch?

I like the idea of NFL but can't see myself ever getting much into it. Maybe I'll try next year and watch matches on replay on Kayo and cut the viewing time in half.
