Agree - Such an important tournament. Don't understand the thinking.

Well India into final with the game washed out. Looks like we need a miracle.

Cricket is just such an antiquated sport still
How on earth in a game that relies on weather doesn’t have a reserve day set aside is staggering
        Especially in Sydney

Game on. South Africa bowling exceptionally well. Australia 5/106 after 17 overs.

Tense win for Australia in the end with the game reduced to 13 overs. Some great bowling and fielding helped.

                Re: Women's T20 World Cup

Man, watching Ellyse Perry ride the roller coaster last night took me back to watching Bob Murphy on the night of the prelim final.

Great result for the Aussies but if I was English I'd be fuming right now.

How you don't have a reserve day set aside two days out from a T20 final (Its not like fatigue would be a massive issue) is beyond me. The ICC and the organising Committee have dropped the ball badly here. .

And I don't buy the "Its karma for England winning the world cup the way they did" argument for a second, for two reasons.

Firstly, that was the men's team, not the women's team.

Secondly, as Michael Vaughan rightly pointed out, the men still had to go out and score the runs/get the wickets they did. The women didn't have the same luxury.

                  Re: Women's T20 World Cup

I saw some ridiculous excuse from the ICC about not wanting to extend the length of the tournament by having a reserve day for the semis. They could easily have played today without the tournament being extended at all and have still had 2 days until the final. Beyond stupid.

Australia extremely lucky they got their game in. Had they lost much more time the 10 over minimum requirement for finals would have seen South Africa through.

Bought tickets weeks ago with my daughter's Girl Guides group. We were going regardless of last night.

Australia v India is a dream result for the organisers. Indian supporters will come in droves.

My wife couldn't make up her mind, so I was going to go on my own. Then lunchtime she says, yes I should go.

Do you think I could get decent seats. The ticketek site is useless. I go in online and there are only a few bays on ground level available, so I click on the bay and there are 8 seats available, but when I try to book them, it doesn't allow me.

Just now I went in again, and new sections are available, but still can't get in. I don't fancy sitting in the top decks of the MCG.

EDIT: Just tried again and it worked
