What a win! Was watching at the Morning Star Hotel in Williamstown and everyone was right into it. Go Matildas through to the Semi Finals.

That was so tense, I was pacing the living room, wife couldn't watch. So happy they got through to semi final

To step up for that kick took massive cojones. And to shrug off the miss and get back to work in goal? Massive.

Whole family was watching the shootout. My heart was pounding continuously from about the 80 minute mark.

I never want to hear the word "boring" used to describe women's sport ever again. That was a match of the highest quality. Heroes on both sides and three 0-0 scoreline at full time did neither team justice.

So nerve racking that penalty shootout but so great to have got through it.

It was a brilliant game with so much happening. How good is Mary, almost nailed a couple of goals.

Super happy to see Fowler put her penalty in the back of the net, massive moment for her when her confidence could have been wavering after a few chances in regular time.

Both teams had claims for a regular time win, and France really pushed in extra time.

                        What a bunch of legends.

Took my 3 daughters to the match. It was and unreal spectacle, a great result and I think the beginning of at least one of them “getting” how fun it is to get behind a team. A fun night! I watched the penalties again when I got home and I reckon I was more nervous/emotional watching the TV than seeing it live.

Hope we go all the way.

What an experience for you all! Amazing!

I've only ever been to LP taking clients to SOO games. In one of them I was brining beers back to seats with less than five minutes played and witnessed some of the worst violence I've seen anywhere let alone at a sporting event (you could hear the fist on cheek) and I reckon the vibe may have been a bit different tonight!

Would be fantastic if we could win it. Would be one of the biggest moments in our sporting history.

She played so well and the only 'easy' chance was the insane block by De Almeida.

And she's only 20. Absolute gun.

Both teams goal line defence was fantastic and both keepers had several big moments.
