    Terrible dismissal for Harris.

Marnus and Smith to save the day again, it seems.

Rarely do you open with your best batsmen though, they are usually stationed at 3,4 or 5. Opening is a problem but Pucovski is a good prospect and Warner will hopefully regain some form soon. In the meantime we hope someone else emerges or a Burns or Renshaw get back to what they once were.

We've got a bit of work to do to get things back on even terms. It's a shame we haven't been able to get some good opening partnerships going

It's a tough one. I hope Pucovski can get over his injury issues and Warner somehow turns around the trajectory of his career, because it's hard to see the point of Marnus at 3 if he's constantly coming in within the first 5-10 overs.

In an ideal scenario for me would have Renshaw opening and Pucovski at 5 but form needs to dictate that.

I might be on my pat malone, but I can't stand Nathan Lyon.

Labuschagne needs to be thankful the Indian team has dropped him so many times. Would it be me than 7 times now?

Absolutely agree. He's been a little blessed on that front and has a lot of the time looked quite patchy.

The Smith wicket hurt, he'll be kicking himself.

Last 9 innings in Australia (since the 335*) he has 316, not sure I'd call that making runs for fun.

Heck if you take away the series against Pakistan it is bloody slim pickings.

                        He is also 34.

Also think that saying “take out that triple century” is kinda a bad argument, because, you know, he made it and its a triple century.

That would still be a better average than any other of the openers we have tried. Everyone else has failed and he still has some credits in the bank surely. He isn't in great touch but I don't understand the debate on his position at this stage.
