Yeah a disappointing night, never got close. Hasn't been a great week for Aussie sports fans, first Norman now this.

Watching it last night I was thinking that the top 10 should go off in order of time that they are behind. ie. Sastre at time zero, then Schleck 1'23" behind, etc... Making it a virtual race would be pretty interesting.

I thought that as well. How good would it be to see the leader ahead of you as you entered the last km.

The problem was that Kohl was 1 sec in front of Cadel. They couldn't both come down the shoot.

A strong rumour has circulated today that Cadel will be made the winner of The Tour this Friday in a shocking announcement. Apparently, 11 riders have tested positive for doping, including the winner.

Wouldn't normally have believed this - but it is Cycling! - and also - it would be a strange time for somebody to make this up - well after the event is done and dusted and the hype has died down..
